These type interviews are made to make the interviewee look like an idiot- there is a 5 second delay in what the Commentator says or asks before the Interviewee even hears the question or comment - then the same happens in reverse - it is designed for them to talk over each other and look like they don't know what they are talking about. And is designed to create frustration. I personally know Mr Gohmert. He is a solid Christian. This does not reflect his true character at all, and his deep conviction that America is being duped into a false sense of security. And you're right, politicians and commentator should both active listen - but that's not what talking head shows are designed for...
